Active and honorary members of J-CLIL (by invitation)
Participants
Teachers or teacher trainees at the primary, secondary, or tertiary level who:
- want to become CLIL practitioners in Japan;
- have 100+ hours of teaching experience in Japan;
- have English language proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher; and
- have Japanese language proficiency at the JLPT N3 level or higher.

Study format
- Blended format – online / in-person
- Module-based learning
- Pre-recorded lectures by J-CLIL experts and CLIL teacher trainers from abroad
- Real-time lectures and interactive group workshops conducted online via Zoom
- CLIL classroom observations – available via pre-recorded videos and/or on-site visits (subject to approval by hosting institutions)

- Module 2: CLIL lesson study
- Module 3: CLIL classroom management
- Module 4: CLIL activities
- Module 5: CLIL classroom language use
- Module 6: English language teaching and CLIL pedagogy
Textbook
To be developed by CLIL Academy in cooperation with J-CLIL.
Startup costs (2021–2022 academic year)

- Costs related to the development and recording of video-based lectures
- Honorarium payments to program instructors and contributors
- Costs related to the development and testing of the technical infrastructure required for online course delivery
Operational costs (beginning from Spring 2022)

- Operational costs of technical infrastructure needed for online course delivery
- Marketing and promotional costs
- Costs related to the periodic revision and enhancement of program content
